Who is God?
God has a plan for each one of us. He created us for a reason. He wants to be with us and He wants each one of us to have a meaningful and abundant life here and eternal life with Him in Heaven.
What does the Bible Say about this?
John 10:10 I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
What happened to God’s plan? Why are there so many who don’t know Him?
Even though God made us to love Him and to be with Him, He does not force us to do so. God allows us to make our own choices. The problem is that we have chosen to disobey God. This causes us to be separated from the very One who loves us the most, from the very One who made us to be with Him.
What does the Bible Say about this?
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jesus Christ willingly gave His life on the cross, was buried in a tomb and rose again after three days. He did this to pay the price for the sins of every man, woman, boy, and girl who lives, who has ever lived, and who will ever live. Jesus did this for us because of God’s love for us.
What does the Bible Say about this?
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God provided a way for us to be with Him but everyone must make the choice!
Through Jesus Christ we can know that we will live with God for eternity! Because of His mercy we no longer have to be separated from God and through His grace we can receive forgiveness for our sins.
What does the Bible Say about this?
Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.
John 1:12 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
The gift of Salvation cost God’s only Son, Jesus Christ, His life! The cost of Salvation to us? Nothing. It is a free gift offered to each of us by God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Here are four easy steps to accepting this free gift of eternal life:
-
Admit that you need God - “I am a sinner”
-
Be willing to say you’re sorry - “I repent of my sins”
-
Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid for your sins by dying for you on the Cross and rising again on the third day - “I believe in Jesus Christ”
-
Ask Jesus Christ to save you and to control your life through the power of the Holy Spirit - “I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior”
What is your choice? Will you pray to receive Christ and His gift of abundant and eternal life?
Pray this – speak it to God in your heart and mind – outloud too if you wish :
“Dear Jesus, I know that because of my sin I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I believe You rose again so I could live with You. I want to stop living for myself and start living for You. I want Your peace in my life. I want forgiveness for my sins. Please come into my heart and change my life. I want to live with You forever. I want You to be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
